Jan 11, 2019  Pike swallow their prey whole and lay dormant whilst digesting. This tells us much about the Pikes feeding habits. If a pike is hungry, they can be easy to entice into taking a bait or lure. Yet if a Pike has recently fed, it can be difficult to coax the fish into.

We have some exciting news!
We are introducing a new special kind of fish, and a new special way to unlock them. The first one of it’s kind is a fish called Loof Lirpa, which is the fish in this picture, a rare tropical hybrid.

There are many fish in Fishao that are hard to catch. This fish has actually been in the game for some time, however, so far no one has caught the Loof Lirpa. It’s a “hidden fish”, which is an old idea we had, but didn’t implement until about a month ago. Hidden fish means that it will become unlocked for you if you perform a certain task. But there will be no notification for the unlocking and you will not see it in your Fishdex until you catch it. That is why we call it “Hidden”. We got inspiration for the idea from the way you access Lost Valley. If people like this idea we will introduce more of them.

Since it’s the first hidden fish, we will tell you how to catch it.

This is how you catch it: At Pinheira Beach there is a fish market. You must run around the Fish Market building 5 times, starting and ending at the door. This unlock lasts for 10 minutes. So you will have 10 minutes to fish for it. After the 10 minutes you can simply run around the building another 5 times to unlock it for 10 more minutes. It doesn’t matter in which direction you circle the building. You just need to pass all corners of the building. Remember to check the time so you know when to renew the unlock.

You can only catch it at Pinheira Beach. This fish is always active, but you have to figure out the bait for yourself 🙂

It is a beautiful spring day, so you've taken your boat out on the lake to fish. You find a pe足aceful, protected bay, the perfect spot to settle in for an afternoon o足f fishing. You cast your line and slowly begin to reel the lure back in. Suddenly, your line is hit. Hard. Your adrenaline rushes at the first catch of the season. You fight what must be a big one and finally get it into the boat. But when you take a look, you notice something. You've caught a pike, which isn't the fish you were expecting at all.

Pike are holarctic fish -- meaning they are found all around the globe in the freshwater habitats of most northern and arctic regions. In North America, they can be found in the lakes and rivers of the northern U.S. and throughout Canada. In the U.S., they are sometimes called northern pike, or simply a 'northern.' They're larg足e, predatory, freshwater fish that sit atop their ecological food chain. They feed on almost anything swimming or thrown in their direction, particularly in the spring. Because of their insatiable appetite, pike grow to be large fish. It is not uncommon to find pike that weigh 10 pounds (4.5 kilograms) or more in larger lakes and rivers. Needless to say, pike make a great addition to any trophy wall, dinner platter or photo collection.
